week of june 12th

We finally added our film to the film festival!!!! Personally, i thought the film festival want going to be good; however, it was a great experience seeing all our films projected and knowing that its one of my last senior events truly touched me. I am stoked for the real film festival!

Week of May 22nd

We started to film!!!!!!! We did al our storyboards and have everything done. Now to film the middle and end.

Week of film festival

This week consisted of planning. we are nearly done and are going to begin filming this wek by tomorrow. I think we have a great idea and with Chris's skills, it'll be a good film!

what my film production company got done was brainstorming.  We have finally concluded with what we want to film.

Week of Prom

Our production company didn't get anything done this week. We've been pitching ideas but haven't come up with a solid one. the most we have thought about was filming at prom but it'll be too complex

Week of april 24th

We finally finished our film!!!! It took all this week to edit it and get our phone call. We will start to produce a new film but the end of this week.

Week of April 17

This week we were almost done editing. I really thought that we were going to be done by today; however, we are really close to finishing. Everything is done except for little edits here and there. Our film should be done early next week. After that, we will start to film another film and hopefully make that film faster since we now know how to do things.

Week of april 10th

This week has been fulfilled with nothing but editing. We are almost done with the film, and i think our film will be done by friday at the latest because we already have a total of good 30 seconds.

Week of April 3rd

This week our company production group was extremely productive. AFter filming once, we decided to do the whole film again because we didn't like the way it came out thus we filmed on wednesday and got the whole film done. Now we are just editing our video and trying to make it a minute long since we filmed so much and its a PSA.

week of march 27th

My group consists of Jennifer Garcia, Erick Marmolejo, and Christopher Maldonaldo. This week we fixed our binders, planned when and where we'll be shooting, and drew out the scenes for our PSA. Now that we got everything figured out, we will be filming this weekend because we would all be available and theres going to be a real party and therefore we can make the PSA even more realistic. Our PSA will be about people in general who like to party and drink then go driving when they're drunk. What may happen is a car accident or even death.

What Music Means To Me

I like listening to music for several reasons. One of the many reasons why i listen to music is to get mentally prepared for a game and the music i listen to within 2 hours of a game is alternative rock because its soothing. When the game is closer and its going to start within 1 hour, i prefer to listen to rap music like artist Kanye West because he's extremely ignorant and it gives me so much confidence to go on the court and be a bully. When i listen to music at night i listen to The Cure, The Smiths, The Doors, and alternative rock because thats what i mainly like. I feel that its more soothing and it keeps me in a relaxed mode. I only listen to rap when i completely get bored of my favorite genre. I like listening to songs that have a beautiful meaning behind it. For example, Kanye West's new song "only one" is beautiful in my eyes because he's talking about his mom and how much he misses and loves her.

Problems and Struggles

Bell High School is faced with various problems. Most kids who come in as a freshman, don't make it all the way through graduation. Some kids dropout and chose not to go to school, but no one ever wonders why? The struggle begins at home because most kids are neglected by their parents thus making the kid depressed. If the kid is neglected then they don't have any guidance through life and don't see a future in school. Another reasons why kids drop out in high school is because their teachers simply don't like them. It isn't the teachers fault, instead its their's because they don't know how to communicate and approach their teachers for help in a kindly manner. THey feel as if the teachers are going to be just like their parents and set them up for failure.

The Most Intresting Person

The most interesting person i personally know is my neighbor. I live in south central and he's a 60 year old man named Roney. He's 6 foot something, pretty tall. I rarely talk to him, but when we do talk to each other we talk about his old school days in basketball. He's interesting because he tells me that he went professional and he was one of the best players in his high school. I somewhat believe him because he brought up some great basketball schools who he beat and we played and still is a tough school to beat. I played with him (at 60 years old) and he still has his jump shot which is why i believe he went pro over seas. However; I always question myself because now he lives in the hood, is a drunk, and has a bike.

My Anti-Drug

My anti-drug is basketball for various reasons. I love playing basketball because once i step into the court, all my problems go away and i feel like Im a kid again. For example growing up I dealt with family issues and i would go to a park just to isolate myself and i got into basketball. When i would play, i would forget about everything and just focus on myself and the game. It felt like just for one moment, everything else didnt matter. In basketball i can take out my anger by playing very physical since its legal in basketball and therefore after i finish playing basketball, i feel like a whole new person. At the end of the day my head is cleared, my legs are sore, and i call it a day.

An Inconvenient Truth

I learned that global warming is scarier than what people make it seem. One part of the documentary that really caught my eyes was when Al Gor was talking about polar bears. In order for polar bears to survive they need ice; however, the ice in the poles are melting thus making the polar bears have no wear to rest or sleep. Not only are they looking for ice to sleep, but  to relax and since they cant find any ice they are drowning. This made me realize that we need to act immediately because sooner or later the polar bears will be extinct along with all the animals that need ice. If the animals go extinct that alters the food change and ecology of the planet making different animals die or multiply. Global warming is taking effect now and if the ice melts several cities will go under water within the next 40 years, which makes this even scarier and treacherous.
